History of This Wine

Soter Vineyards was founded in 1997 by Tony Soter, a renowned winemaker who has been making wine for over 40 years. The Estates Pinot Noir is sourced from the Willamette Valley, which is known for its cool climate and ideal growing conditions for Pinot Noir. The vineyard is sustainably farmed and produces wines that are elegant and balanced.

Notable vintage years include the 2002, 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2011 vintages. In 2002, Soter Vineyards released their first Estate Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. This vintage was highly acclaimed and won numerous awards including a Gold Medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.

In 2005, Soter Vineyards released their second Estate Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. This vintage was also highly acclaimed and won numerous awards including a Gold Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

The 2008 vintage of Soter Vineyards' Estates Pinot Noir was awarded a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition as well as Best of Class at the Oregon Wine Awards.

The 2009 vintage of Soter Vineyards' Estates Pinot Noir was awarded a Gold Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition as well as Best of Class at the Oregon Wine Awards.

The 2011 vintage of Soter Vineyards' Estates Pinot Noir was awarded a Silver Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition as well as Best of Class at the Oregon Wine Awards.
