History of This Wine
Raen Royal St. Robert Cuvee Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast was first released in 2012, and is a blend of grapes from the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast appellations. The wine is produced by winemaker Wells Guthrie, who has been making wines in the region since 1996. He sources fruit from some of the most sought-after vineyards in the area, including Dutton Ranch, Rochioli Vineyard, and Sangiacomo Vineyard.
The 2012 vintage was especially noteworthy for its bright red fruit aromas and flavors, as well as its silky tannins and balanced acidity. It has since become a cult favorite among Pinot Noir lovers around the world. In 2017, Raen Royal St. Robert Cuvee Pinot Noir was awarded 95 points by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, further cementing its status as one of the top wines from Sonoma Coast.
