History of This Wine

J Bookwalter Winery was founded in 1983 by John Bookwalter, a former Boeing engineer who had a passion for winemaking. The winery is located in Richland, Washington and produces wines from grapes grown in the Columbia Valley AVA.

The Readers' Cabernet Sauvignon was first released in 1997 and has since become one of the winery's most popular wines. It is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes sourced from vineyards across the Columbia Valley AVA. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels before being bottled and released.

Notable vintage years include 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. These vintages have all been highly acclaimed by critics and have earned numerous awards at various wine competitions.
