History of This Wine

Horsepower Vineyards 'The Tribe Vineyard' Syrah from Walla Walla Valley was first planted in 2002 by winemaker and owner, Chris Camarda. The vineyard is located on a south-facing slope of the Blue Mountains and is planted with Syrah vines that are over 20 years old. The soil composition is mostly basalt and loess, which provides excellent drainage for the vines.

The first vintage of Horsepower Vineyards 'The Tribe Vineyard' Syrah was released in 2006. Since then, it has become one of the most sought-after wines from Walla Walla Valley. Notable vintages include 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Each vintage showcases the unique terroir of the region and expresses the complexity of this varietal.

In addition to producing exceptional wines from The Tribe Vineyard, Horsepower Vineyards also produces other varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from their estate vineyards in Walla Walla Valley.
