History of This Wine

Bodegas Ego Goru Verde is a winery located in Jumilla, Spain. The winery was founded in 2006 by the brothers Juan and José Luis García, who have been producing wines since the early 1990s. The winery specializes in organic wines made from Monastrell grapes grown on their own vineyards.

The first vintage of Bodegas Ego Goru Verde was released in 2007 and has since become one of the most popular organic wines from Jumilla. The wine is made with 100% Monastrell grapes that are hand-harvested and fermented with natural yeasts. It is then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels before being bottled without filtration or clarification.

Notable vintages include 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017. In 2017, Bodegas Ego Goru Verde received a Gold Medal at the International Wine Challenge for its 2015 vintage. This award helped to further establish the winery's reputation as one of the leading producers of organic wines from Jumilla.
