History of This Wine

Tesori Malvasia di Castelnuovo Don Bosco is a white wine produced in the Piedmont region of Italy. It was first created in the late 19th century by the winemaker Giuseppe Mazzoni, who was inspired by the Malvasia grape variety he found growing wild in the hills near Castelnuovo Don Bosco. The wine quickly gained popularity and has been produced ever since.

Notable vintage years include 2004, which was awarded a Gold Medal at Vinitaly; 2006, which won a Silver Medal at Vinitaly; and 2009, which won a Bronze Medal at Vinitaly. In 2012, Tesori Malvasia di Castelnuovo Don Bosco was awarded the prestigious DOCG status, making it one of only two wines from Piedmont to receive this recognition.
